Evidence- Based Holistic Trauma Therapy

The Safe Space integrates modalities such as Prolonged Exposure (PE) with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to provide a comprehensive approach to healing. Prolonged Exposure helps clients confront and process traumatic memories in a safe, controlled environment, reducing the power these memories hold over their daily lives. CBT works alongside this by challenging and reshaping negative thought patterns, fostering a more balanced and realistic perspective on the trauma and its impact. ACT complements these therapies by encouraging clients to embrace their emotions and thoughts without judgment, promoting psychological flexibility and helping them commit to actions that align with their values. Together, these therapeutic modalities enable clients to heal from trauma, regain control of their lives, and move forward with a renewed sense of purpose and resilience.

Working with addictions

Addictions work necessitates a multifaceted approach that addresses the complexities of individual experiences. By integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and a strong focus on trauma, practitioners can create a personalised pathway for recovery. ACT helps individuals to accept their thoughts and feelings while committing to meaningful actions, while motivational interviewing fosters intrinsic motivation and enhances willingness to change. Coupled with a trauma-informed perspective, this eclectic approach acknowledges the impact of past experiences, ensuring that treatment is compassionate and responsive to the unique needs of each person on their journey to healing.
