Hi friend, I'm Jamie!
about.
Hi, I’m Jamie!
I’m a mom of two and a dedicated psychotherapist (qualifying) with a passion for helping people navigate trauma and addiction. I know how deeply past experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. But I also know that healing is possible.
My approach is rooted in compassion, evidence-based strategies, and a deep belief in your resilience. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready for a change, I’m here to provide a safe space where you can explore, heal, and move forward—at your own pace.
You don’t have to do this alone. Let’s take the next step together.
HERE’S WHAT I STAND FOR
Professionalism and Ethics
The Safe Space upholds high ethical standards and professionalism in all interactions. This includes maintaining confidentiality, obtaining informed consent, and practising within their scope of training. Adhering to established ethical guidelines fosters trust between clients and therapists, which is essential for effective treatment.
Evidence-Based Practices
The Safe Space advocates for the use of evidence-based interventions. Our therapists incorporate scientifically validated techniques that have proven effective in treating various mental health conditions. This commitment to ongoing education and integration of new research ensures clients receive the best possible care.
Individualised Treatment Plans
Every client is unique, and The Safe Space recognises this by developing personalised treatment plans. Our therapists consider individual backgrounds, experiences, and goals, tailoring their approach to meet specific needs. This flexibility enhances the therapeutic process and promotes more meaningful progress.
Empathy and Understanding
Empathy is foundational in therapy. Our practitioners strive to comprehend the client’s perspective and emotional state, creating a deep sense of connection and support. This understanding encourages clients to open up and engage more fully in the therapeutic process.

Jamie works closely with an outside Social Worker as her supervisor. Social work services are covered as a health service by most insurance companies. It is essential to contact your service provider to inquire about the specifics of your coverage, as the amount provided can vary significantly between different plans. Understanding your benefits will enable you to make informed decisions about accessing mental health services. Note that we do not direct bills to insurance companies; clients are responsible for submitting their invoices to their insurance provider.

It is generally recommended to start therapy with weekly sessions, especially for psychotherapy and prolonged exposure therapy. This frequency allows for consistent engagement with the therapeutic process, ensuring that the skills and techniques learned can be understood and integrated effectively. Regular attendance helps to build a sturdy foundation for progress, as it provides opportunities for clients to practice and refine their coping strategies in a supportive environment. Over time, as individuals gain more confidence and develop their skills, the frequency of sessions may be adjusted to suit their needs and goals.
